An aromatic spice, an invaluable addition in the kitchen that improves the flavour of dishes!

Parsley is a biennial plant of the umbelliferous family, native to the Mediterranean zone. It has two main varieties - the celandine and the root variety. It is a part of the Italian herb family and is often found in cooking as an ingredient in soups, sauces or meat dishes.

Parsley is rich in flavonoids, which are antioxidants that protect the body against ageing and disease. It contains mineral salts, large amounts of folic acid, calcium, potassium and vitamin C. Eating parsley is particularly recommended for urinary tract problems. It supports the function of the kidneys and lower urinary tract. It also helps to cleanse the blood. In addition to its health and culinary qualities, parsley is often used as a decorative element, also in desserts.

As a dried spice, it can be mixed with other herbs: marjoram, cumin, thyme or pepper. Dried parsley finds many uses, it is an excellent addition to any soup, broth, vegetable soup, krupnik or tomato soup. It goes well with fish, pasta dishes or as an addition to sauces. It will enhance the taste of meat dishes, beef, poultry or pork.
