For those struggling with acne - Restores hydrolipidic harmony, in effect aiding the acne-fighting process!
Acne vulgaris is a chronic and multifactorial skin condition. Its causes may include, but are not limited to, increased sebum production, endocrine disruption, dietary factors - including a high glycaemic index diet and abnormal glucose-insulin metabolism, stress, dysbiosis in the gut and many others.
The composition of Skin oil was composed to comprehensively support the health of your skin from within. It acts on it on multiple levels, combining:
- A powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effect, which is due to the plant-based omega-3 acids (ALA) from flax and the thymoquinone content from black cumin
- Glycaemic-reducing and insulin-sensitising effect on tissues
- Diluting effect on sebum, regulating sebum production and increasing its antimicrobial potential - also against Propionibacterium acnes, responsible for the formation of acne lesions
- Improving skin hydration and elasticity
- Accelerating and increasing the effectiveness of healing and regeneration processes
In each bottle of Skin oil, as much as half of the volume is made up of evening primrose and hemp oils, which are natural sources of GLA acid, known for its miraculous properties to support skin health and condition, the other half is an anti-inflammatory bomb - a wealth of plant-based omega-3 acids (ALA) and the addition of the powerful antioxidant thymoquinone.
Oil ingredients:
- Linseed oil - characterised by more than half the content of ALA, a member of the omega-3 family, and is the richest source of these in the plant world. An increased intake of omega-3 acids in relation to omega-6 acids, and thus an increase in the concentration of EPA and DHA acids in the body, reduces the incidence of many chronic inflammatory diseases. These include, among others, PCOS and Insulin Resistance - extremely often co-occurring with and being the cause of acne. Omega-3 fatty acids affect the regulation of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chronically elevated levels of which correlate with the exacerbation of skin lesions.
- Evening primrose oil - Is a rich source of GLA acid, which is one of the building blocks of phospholipid cell membranes. It plays a critical restorative role and strengthens the skin barrier. When used as a dietary ingredient, it passes into the dermis and prevents excessive water loss, strengthens the barrier against the passage of bacteria, toxins, fungi and allergens from the outside. Scientific studies show that it has applications in the prevention and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, atopic dermatitis, allergies, atopic eczema and psoriasis. Evening primrose oil also has a beneficial effect in premenstrual syndrome. Evening primrose oil is an effective weight loss aid, as GLA acid stimulates brown adipose tissue and increases the metabolic rate, resulting in fat burning.
- Hemp oil - hemp oil contains: tocopherols, phytosterols, carotenoids, polyphenols, phospholipids, ADEK fat-soluble vitamins. Of the sterols in hemp oil, β-sitosterol, which is characterised by antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties, is found in the highest amount (approximately 70%). In addition, it strengthens the lipid barrier of the epidermis, prevents excessive water loss and improves hydration. It influences the activation of collagen and elastin synthesis in the skin, which are responsible for its elasticity and healing processes. In addition to sterols, there are polyphenols in the oil, which are powerful antioxidants and therefore inhibit the action of free radicals, which are responsible for damage to cell membranes and counteract skin ageing. Due to its composition, hemp oil can be used for therapeutic purposes. The endocannabinoid system, together with CB1 and CB2 receptors, has a protective and supportive effect on inflammation associated with dermatoses such as psoriasis, acne and atopic dermatitis (AD).
- Black cumin oil - The most valuable component of black cumin oil is thymoquinone, which plays an important role in neutralising oxidative stress through its antioxidant properties. It protects organs from oxidative damage caused by free radicals. Influences the lowering of fasting glucose levels, as well as the HOMA insulin resistance index. Stimulates insulin production, reducing tissue insulin resistance, which is one of the main direct causes of acne.
The product is a blend of cold-pressed oils, which are extremely susceptible to oxidation when exposed to environmental factors (temperature, sunlight).
Depending on the production batch, the oil may vary slightly: colour, taste and turbidity.
Use it cold only! Do not subject it to heat treatment. Store in a cool, dry and shaded place. Once opened, store in the fridge to retain the full properties and benefits.
