Most appreciated by gourmets, cold-pressed from Oblica olives, which grow only in Croatia in the regions from Zadar to Dubrovnik. Olive oil from Croatia will surprise you, slightly different from Spanish oil, with its aroma and taste. Produced from Croatian olives of the highest quality, it is moderately bitter and spicy, with a distinct hint of the green fruit of the olive tree.

For whom: It is recommended especially to gourmets and fans of Mediterranean cuisine. Due to its nutritional value, it will be a great addition to the diet of pregnant women. A good vegetable fat for vegans and vegetarians.

Colour and flavour: Oil with a yellow colour and medium bitterness and spiciness.

Acidity: The oil has an ideal acidity of < 0.3% which indicates its very good quality.

Consistency: the olive oil has a liquid consistency, but when stored in the fridge it may thicken, a completely natural phenomenon and indicative of the high quality of the olive oil.

Properties:

Croatian olive groves are among the oldest in the world! And the olive products coming from the Dalmatian regions are among the most valuable, highest quality ones.

Thanks to the entire process of olive harvesting and pressing, Croatian olive oil has extra virgin status. Extra virgin means that the oil is cold-pressed (pressing does not exceed 28 degrees C), it is not subjected to any modification or purification, and no enhancers are added to the oil itself. Extra virgin also means that the olives are harvested by hand and the oil is pressed within max. 24 h after harvesting. All this guarantees that amazing, slightly spicy and fresh taste of Croatian oil, and of course the best properties of the oil.

Application: 

Good Croatian oil, thanks to its numerous properties, can be used not only in the kitchen, but also in care.

Croatian oil, obtained from oblica olive varieties, is sweet and, according to gourmets, blends perfectly with the taste of fish. In the kitchen, it will prove to be the ideal vegetable fat to drink cold, straight from the spoon. It is best for dipping fresh bread and topping toast just before toasting. It is ideal as a dressing, salad topping, addition to fruit and vegetable smoothies, soups, tomato sauces, pesto, etc. By drinking 3 tablespoons a day (in any form, cold), olive oil supplements our diet with essential fatty acids EFAs.

Importantly: you can fry with olive oil! However, Croatian olive oil definitely tastes better cold, especially on fresh bread with salt!

When used for skin care, olive oil moisturises, nourishes, cleanses and rebuilds. It is used as an additive to cosmetics, but also as a stand-alone skincare product (e.g. for oiling hair or removing make-up).


Olive oil is best stored between 10 and 18 degrees Celsius, in a dark and cool place. Olive oil does not like light or heat.
