Grape Vinegar – Artisan Craftsmanship and the Full Taste of Nature!

Imagine vineyards heavy with sun-ripened grapes. The natural power of the fruit has been captured in this unique, raw grape vinegar. It is created through a slow fermentation process, without filtration, pasteurisation, or artificial additives. With its deep pink-red colour, slightly tangy fruity taste, and autumnal aroma, this vinegar is rich in natural properties that enhance both dishes and everyday nutrition.

Properties of Grape Vinegar

  • Crafted from ripe, fresh grapes
  • Produced in small batches using traditional methods
  • Naturally raw, unfiltered and unpasteurised (still active in the bottle)
  • Free from additives and artificial enhancers
  • Rich in live cultures and natural nutrients
  • Naturally cloudy with an intense pink-red colour
  • Refreshing, tangy flavour with a subtle sweet grape note
  • Distinctive fruity aroma with a hint of dryness
  • Full-bodied, invigorating character straight from nature

The pronounced grape flavour and natural properties make this vinegar a unique addition to a healthy diet. It refreshes, enriches meals, and adds a new dimension to flavour. Perfect for dressings, sauces, and light salads.

How to Use Grape Vinegar

Grape vinegar is best introduced gradually, starting with a few drops. A recommended serving is 1–2 tablespoons diluted in cool or lukewarm water to preserve live cultures and natural qualities. Consume on an empty stomach or about 20 minutes before a meal. It also works wonderfully in salads, sauces, and drinks.

Natural Character of the Product

  • Should always be diluted in water or added to dishes
  • Sediment may form – this is a sign of natural origin and lack of filtration
  • Cloudiness and the presence of the so-called “mother” confirm the vinegar is alive and still fermenting
  • Best before: 12 months from bottling, though it retains its properties for up to 5 years after opening
  • Store in a cool, shaded place

How Grape Vinegar is Made

This living vinegar is produced through a traditional two-stage fermentation process. The grapes first undergo alcoholic fermentation, followed by a longer acetous fermentation, during which acetic acid develops. The process is entirely natural, without acceleration, filtration, pasteurisation, or preservatives. The result is a raw, unfiltered product, full of natural goodness and the intense taste of grapes.

Suggested Uses

  • Adds depth to drinks with water and flavoured honeys
  • Enhances fruit-based cocktails
  • Ideal for homemade juices and lemonades
  • Delicious as a refreshing drink with water alone
  • Perfect for marinades, meat dishes, and preserves
  • Excellent in sauces and dressings
  • Complements fruit and vegetable salads with a new twist on vinaigrette
  • Works in natural health shots or with herbal infusions
  • Refreshing in summer spritzers with sparkling water, ice, mint, and fresh fruit

Who is Grape Vinegar For?

Living grape vinegar is ideal for those who enjoy the taste of grapes and subtle fruity notes. It suits both enthusiasts of fermented products and those just beginning to explore natural vinegars. With its light acidity and refreshing grape profile, it offers a gentler alternative to classic vinegars, making it easier to incorporate into a daily diet.

It should not be consumed in excessive amounts, particularly by those with a sensitive digestive system. The best approach is to introduce it gradually, starting with small doses.

Can Children Consume Grape Vinegar?

In small amounts (about ½–1 teaspoon daily), diluted in water, grape vinegar can be given to children. It is recommended from the age of 5–6, and earlier use should be consulted with a doctor or paediatric dietitian.

Grape Vinegar and Pregnancy

Like all unpasteurised products, raw grape vinegar should only be consumed during pregnancy after consulting a healthcare professional.
