Key ingredients:

- Complex of 3 ceramides and plant-derived cholesterol, fatty acids and phytosphingosine - Promotes the reconstruction and strengthening of the epidermal lipid barrier and intensely moisturises.

- Hyaluronic acid - Known for its moisturising properties, nurtures and smooths hair and improves its condition. It binds water in the epidermis and provides the skin with adequate hydration.

- Beet betaine - Moisturises and protects cell membranes from damage, soothes irritated skin.

- Squalane - Is an active substance included in human sebum. It has a number of skin care properties: it smoothes, moisturises, oxygenates the skin, reduces fine wrinkles and discolouration and acne scars. It softens the skin and seals the intercellular spaces, preventing excessive evaporation of water from the epidermis. 

- Centella asiatica extract - Has a purifying and toning effect. Soothes and promotes proper skin regeneration.

- Pumpkin enzymes obtained by fermentation - Facilitate the absorption of the cosmetic into the deeper parts of the skin.

- Green tea leaf hydrolate - Prevents premature skin ageing, hydrates and refreshes the skin.

Directions for use:

Step 1: Using the palm of your hand, apply a small amount of toner to clean and gently damp skin on the face, neck and décolleté.

Step 2: Wait until completely absorbed.

Can BUILD ME UP ‘clog me up’?
The ingredients in the toner are not comedogenic, also it should not clog pores. The tonic is velvety and does not contain a large amount of oil substances. Nevertheless, this is a very individual issue and it is always worth introducing new skincare products one at a time and observing how it behaves after such a change.

What is the shelf life of BUILD ME UP tonic after opening (PAO)?
BUILD ME UP tonic is valid for two years from the date of manufacture, the expiry date is shown on the packaging. 

Why is it so important to use a toner in your daily skincare routine? What is its task?
The most important task is to restore the skin's natural pH level. Many of the cosmetics we use on a daily basis change the reaction of the epidermis to a more alkaline one, thus leading to the depletion of the natural bacterial flora of the skin. A weakened microbiome is unable to protect the tissue from harmful agents, which in turn increases the facial skin's vulnerability to bacteria, viruses, external agents, free radicals and pollution.

Why is it important to restore the skin's pH?
A pH that is too low will result in excessive sebum production, while a pH that is too high will cause excessive dryness. As a consequence, the natural protective barrier is disrupted and irritation, redness, burning sensations and hypersensitivity can occur.
