Japanese quince syrup is a real joy for the taste buds! It is made from tart and sour, ripe fruit, but thanks to the addition of sugar, it is drunk without any bite. It goes great with healthy fats. Use it when you often get a cold. Best paired with cumin oil! The syrup contains what is most valuable from the quince fruit - it is a richer source of vitamin C than lemons. It is worth reaching for it every day, especially in autumn and winter!

Properties:

It is made from ripe and selected fruits from a rural farm. To squeeze 1 liter of liquid, you need about 2 kg of them! It contains no fat, salt or preservatives. It is free of GMOs and allergens. Sugar "sweetens" its tartness and sourness. It's a pasteurized product, but still rich in ingredients. Pasteurization nullifies microorganisms and bacteria, so you can enjoy it longer.

The syrup contains significant amounts of vitamin C - 17 mg per 100 ml. This represents 21% of the RWS, or reference intake value for the average adult. We need to take about 80 mg of this vitamin every day, because the body does not produce or store it. A lack of vitamin C can result in lower immunity. Pregnant and nursing women need larger amounts of it.

The best natural sources of vitamin C are fresh fruits and vegetables. And when we don't have access to them in autumn and winter, juices and syrups save us. 

For whom: Delicious and sweet syrup will appeal to toddlers. It will please especially parents of preschool-aged and older children, whose immunity is exposed to many dangers. Because of the sugar, it is advisable to give it to them in moderation.

Precautions: Japanese quince juice is safe for almost everyone. The exception may be people who are allergic to its fruit or with stomach problems, such as hyperacidity or stomach ulcers. Due to its sugar content, unsweetened Japanese Quince Juice is recommended for diabetics and insulin resistance patients.

Taste: Sour and tart broken by sweetness.

Consistency: Cloudy through natural sediment.

Colour: Depends on the fruit in the batch - can range from yellow to amber.

Application: 

You can drink Japanese quince syrup from a glass, also after diluting with water.

You can make lemonade with it. It will also be a great addition to breakfast smoothies.

Quince syrup for winter is a good addition to (cooled) tea, scented candle and blanket.

It will neutralize the taste of vegetable or fish oil.


Storage: Store in a cool and dark place before opening. Once opened, keep in the fridge and consume within a few days.
