200 IU of vitamin D3 in one drop! Liquid formula with MCT oil for kids from the first day of life!

One drop of MyKids Vitamin D3 food supplement provides 200 IU of vitamin D3, so you can adjust the serving according to your child's age and needs. Vitamin D supports the proper functioning of the immune system. All ingredients are of plant origin. Whether you're breastfeeding your baby or using formula milk, you can give your baby MyKids Vitamin D3 supplement from day 1. The liquid formula comes in a small glass bottle with a special pipette that allows you to measure the drops precisely. The vitamin D3 contained in the MyKids Vitamin D3 food supplement is derived from algae and is fat-soluble, which is why we have suspended it in MCT oil from coconut.

You will find no unnecessary fillers, preservatives or colourings in the supplement. The pure composition free from impurities is confirmed by product tests conducted by an independent, accredited laboratory of J.S. Hamilton Poland.

FAQ

Do I need to do any tests before taking the supplement?

Yes, the best option to verify the adequate intake of vitamin D3 is to determine its level in blood serum. It is a good idea to have 25-OH-D3 and ionized calcium levels determined, as vitamin D3 has an effect on regulating levels of this element.

What does the 25-(OH)D test recommended for MyKids Vitamin D3 mean?

The test determines the concentration of the first hydroxy derivative of vitamin D: calcidiol [25(OH)D], which is considered to be a marker for the body's vitamin D requirements. Knowledge of vitamin D concentration is important to assess the level of vitamin D in the body and the actual demand, and to correctly initiate a possible diagnosis.

The test is particularly recommended during combined supplementation with preparations containing vitamin D3.

Does the daily requirement for vitamin D change with the age of the child?

Yes, the recommended intake of vitamin D depends, among other things, on age and it should be adjusted to the child's needs.

According to EFSA (European Food Safety Authority), the intake levels of vitamin D are*:

- newborns and infants - supplementation from the first days of life, regardless of feeding method, 400 IU/day;

- children (1-10 years) - 600-1000 IU/day;

- teenagers (11-18 years) - 800-2000 IU/day

Should children also supplement vitamin D in summer and spring?

Everything depends on the concentration of vitamin D in the blood. It happens that even people exposed to sunlight have too low concentrations of this vitamin in their blood. This is particularly important in the context of obese people and those with dark skin. The same is true for children.

If a child misses a daily dose, should he or she be given a double dose?

No. The child should consume the recommended daily amount the following day.

Trójglicerydy średniołańcuchowych kwasów tłuszczowych (MCT) z oleju kokosowego, cholekalcyferol (witamina D) Vita‑algae D®.
