Natural Moisturising Factor, or NMF, is a combination of compounds responsible for optimum hydration, found in the stratum corneum. They include amino acids, urea and lactic acid salts. Cucumber extract has a similar composition to the NMF, thus actively and effectively promoting skin hydration.

Key ingredients:

- Bright look peptide 3% - Contains Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 peptide, which combats signs of fatigue such as bags and dark circles under the eyes and subtly smooths the skin. In vitro studies have shown that it modulates the secretion of inflammatory response mediators, and improvements in the condition of the skin around the eyes have been confirmed on volunteer skin: smoothing, hydration, reduction of dark circles and puffiness.

- Caffeine - Eliminates dark circles and bags under the eyes and improves microcirculation of blood in the skin making it effective in improving the condition of the skin around the eyes. Caffeine is an alkaloid with multi-directional effects on skin condition. It exhibits strong antioxidant properties, helps protect cells from UV radiation and slows down the skin's photo-ageing process.

- Cucumber extract - Smoothes, increases epidermal hydration, soothes. Cucumber extract is packed with sugars, amino acids and minerals such as potassium, sodium, calcium. Its composition is similar to that of NMF, the natural moisturising factor present in the epidermis, which is key to providing the skin with optimal moisture levels.

- Hyaluronic acid - Intensely hydrates and reduces water loss through the epidermis. It increases skin hydration, promotes skin regeneration and also has an anti-ageing effect. Depending on its molecular weight, HA has different properties: smaller molecules penetrate the epidermal barrier more easily, providing hydration in the upper layers of the epidermis; high-molecular hyaluronic acid does not penetrate the epidermis, but by binding water molecules from the environment, it creates a moist compress on the surface of the epidermis, which reduces the feeling of tightness and dryness of the skin.

- Saccharide isomerate - A substance with a high affinity for the cells of the stratum corneum. This means that its composition and structure is similar to that of the intercellular cement, so this ingredient increases hydration levels and softens and smoothens the epidermis.

- Pomegranate sterols - Compounds with antioxidant properties, protect the skin from free radicals and slow down the ageing process.

- Squalane - Emollient, a lubricating substance that regenerates the epidermal barrier and transepidermal water loss. Indirectly moisturises, reduces skin dryness. A derivative of squalene - a natural component of human sebum.

- Vitamin E (mixture of tocopherols and tocotrienols) - Called the vitamin of youth. An effective antioxidant that protects the skin from free radicals. Strengthens the epidermal barrier.

- Sunflower oil - Emollient, strengthens the lipid barrier, lubricates, soothes irritation, reduces skin dryness and excessive transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
