Blackcurrant seed oil (Ribes nigrum L.) is a versatile oil - we use it in daily facial skin care, comb it through unruly strands of hair and massage it into our hands and nails. It has a seedy, slightly earthy aroma which, depending on the batch, reminds us of currant leaves crushed in the palms of our hands from grandma's garden. We serve it to you in unrefined form, rich in the most precious things: linoleic acid (omega-6), gamma-linolenic acid (ALA from the omega-3 group and GLA from the omega-6 group), oleic acid (omega-9), antioxidants, tocopherols and sterols (including beta-sitosterol).

The light texture of currant oil means that, when applied to moistened facial skin, it spreads well, is quickly absorbed and does not weigh down the skin. This, in turn, makes it an excellent cosmetic for both evening and morning care (also under make-up). It is perfectly moisturising, softening and smoothing, as well as soothing any irritation or redness. It makes the skin regain a healthy, radiant appearance.

Currant seed oil also has an anti-aging effect - it gently tightens, giving a firming and supple feeling, evens out skin tone, diminishing the appearance of any discolouration and reducing the appearance of fine lines.

Directions for use:

Use as: cream replacement, face and/or body oil, nail and hair care oil

Face oil: Shake before use. Apply to cleansed, moistened (e.g. with hydrolate or toner) skin on face, neck and décolleté. You can also apply the oil over the Sugar - a light, moisturising serum-booster or mix both products in the palm of your hand and apply the mixture to the skin. Then gently massage in a circular motion until completely absorbed.

Oil for hair ends: Shake before use. Distribute a portion of the oil in the palms of your hands and run your fingers through your hair - from mid-lengths to ends. Massage the remaining oil into your hands and nails.

For external use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes. Store in a cool, dry and shaded place.
