A sweet way to boost immunity. A must for upper respiratory problems for toddlers and seniors!

Pine shoot syrup is the naturopaths' way of boosting immunity and fighting the common cold, taken directly from nature and folk medicine recommendations. It is the same thick, sweet, homemade pine shoot syrup used by our grandmothers.

For whom: Recommended for people of all ages as a natural remedy for coughs, runny noses and the first symptoms of a cold. As a sweet addition to drinks, lemonade, etc.Ideal natural remedy for colds and upper respiratory tract infections of young children and mothers-to-be.

Colour and taste: The syrup is dark yellow - straw-coloured, tea-like. It tastes sweet, honeyed and herbal. It smells of pine. The syrup is naturally cloudy, which is due to its high pollen and resin content. Simply shake the bottle and stir the contents before use.

Pine shoot syrup is made from whole, young shoots, not from concentrate. To maintain freshness for longer, the syrup has been pasteurised.

Properties:

A force of nature that cannot be missed when fighting a cold naturally. The forest-smelling syrup made from young pine shoots is valued by naturopaths for its expectorant and bactericidal effects, which is why it is most often recommended for upper respiratory tract problems and as a prophylactic during lowered immunity and flu season.

The recipe for pine syrup seems easy, but the preparation of the syrup itself requires some effort, especially when reaching under the very sticky young pine shoots. Pine shoots are best harvested young, at the end of April or the beginning of May, as this is when they accumulate the most beneficial ingredients.

Pine shoot syrup tastes of pure, rainy forest, which the young pine shoots are responsible for. The shoots contain: vitamin C, ideal for boosting immunity; flavonoids, which have an anti-inflammatory effect and provide solid support against infection; mineral salts, which regulate the body's water balance; carbohydrates; essential oil, ideal for coughs; and bitters, which improve appetite and can have a calming effect.

The rich ingredients of the fresh pine shoots, make the syrup recommended by supporters of natural methods of combating the common cold, especially when:

- one is suffering from pharyngitis and is accompanied by a sore throat and hoarseness,

- one teaspoon of syrup of young pine shoots per day.
